Starting on the Spiritual Path Right Here

Awakening the Buddha within, p.54
"Your life is your path. Your disappointments are part of your path; your joys are your path; your dry cleaning, and your dry cleaner are on your path; ditto your credit card payments. It's not helpful to wait until you have more time for meditation or contemplation, because it may never happen."

I was a male?

Last night I dreamed myself giving orders to a woman when she was driving. Vividly, I remember myself as a male.

Where is my anger?

I used to get angry for no reasons when I got up in the morning, even when I was woken by my lovely husband with love. But where is my anger now? It has been quite a few days that I wake up without any anger. Does this mean that I manage to quieten my mind, so my egos cannot manipulate me when I sleep?

Awakening The Buddha Within

This book is very useful to me for my practices.
"Enlightenment is a mysterious process, not unlike God, Truth, or love. No one definition is large enough to encompass it. Each experience is unique - as we are each unique. Enlightenment - whether you call it spiritual awakening, liberation, illumination, or satori - means profound inner transformation and self-realization. " (p. 16)

A dream of the Self

A couple of nights ago, I had a dream of "my" Self. It was very short, but very vivid, with glowing colors that were much more intense than in everyday life.

Astral denizens and the intent of the astral traveler

I have been thinking about Astral denizens lately, and I have begun to think that they are very senstive to the intent of the dreamer or astral traveler.

A dream behind a dream

This is to relate a dream behind a dream that I had the other night. I can't actually remember the content of the "cover" dream any more, but the other morning, I started to recall a dream I'd had the previous night, when the memory of another dream behind that dream just blew the contents of the cover dream right out of my head. But first I need to digress a little.
